Deep Crimson Glaze with Purple Kiln-Change Veins
Crimson Ember Jun Porcelain Mug
A darker, more dramatic Jun kiln variation - deep crimson glaze with flowing purple veins. The triangular handle echoes traditional Chinese brush-rest geometry.
Copper-Rich Crimson Glaze Formula
The Crimson Ember uses a modified Jun glaze with higher copper content. During reduction firing, copper creates deep crimson-to-burgundy tones instead of sky blue.
Triangular Handle - Brush-Rest Geometry
The distinctive triangular handle is inspired by traditional Chinese brush rests. The geometric shape provides a secure, heat-resistant grip and makes this mug instantly recognizable.
Generic mugs that look like every other cafe cup?
- 🚨 Factory uniformity (zero character)
- 🚨 Plastic-feeling handles
- 🚨 Glaze that chips and crazes
Crimson Jun porcelain - fire-born artistry with a sculptural silhouette.
THE DETAILS THAT MATTER
Higher copper content creates the deep crimson-to-burgundy spectrum. The color emerges from copper oxide crystals that form during reduction firing - a process still unpredictable after 1000 years.
Modeled after traditional Chinese brush rests. The triangular geometry provides three contact points for a secure grip, stays cooler than C-shaped handles, and is a sculptural statement.
Matching crimson-glazed lid with built-in infuser holes. Place loose tea leaves on the lid, pour water over, and watch the amber liquor drip through.
