One Fire, One Color, One Piece - Jun Kiln Living Celadon
Artisan Jun Kiln Ceramic Mug
Each mug emerges from the 1300C kiln with a unique sky-blue glaze streaked with violet-purple splashes. No two pieces are identical.
Jun Glaze Chemistry at 1300C
Jun glaze contains iron and trace copper. During the 1300C reduction firing, iron creates the sky-blue celadon base, while copper produces unpredictable purple splashes.
Hand-Glazed, Wood-Fired Heritage
Each mug is individually hand-dipped in glaze, then fired in a traditional reduction kiln. The wood-firing creates subtle temperature variations making each piece unique.
Mass-produced mugs with printed, soulless patterns?
- 🚨 Decal-printed patterns (flat, fake looking)
- 🚨 Machine-made uniformity (no character)
- 🚨 Thin, cheap ceramic that cracks
Hand-glazed Jun kiln ceramic - every piece a one-of-a-kind work of art.
THE DETAILS THAT MATTER
The signature Jun aesthetic. Iron oxide creates the translucent sky-blue celadon. Trace copper produces violet-purple kiln change splashes. This chemical dance happens only in reduction firing at 1300C.
Fired at 1300C, the ceramic body vitrifies into true stoneware - non-porous, incredibly durable, and resistant to thermal shock.
The integrated lid doubles as a tea infuser - place loose leaf tea on it, pour hot water over, and the infusion drips into the mug below.

🔥 KILN OPENING IS UNPREDICTABLE
Jun kiln reduction firing has a 30% loss rate. Many pieces crack or develop unwanted glaze patterns. The survivors are the lucky ones.
